IS THIS THERAPY RIGHT FOR YOU?
If you experience chronic jaw tightness, pain, or restricted movement, manual therapy can help. This service is specifically designed for those struggling with:
Jaw clicking, popping, or locking
Pain while chewing, speaking, or singing
Chronic facial tension, unexplained headaches, or ear/neck pain
Clenching and grinding (bruxism)
HOW SINGER'S CHOICE CAN HELP
While many practitioners offer general neck massages, very few specialize in the complex mechanics of the jaw. I treat the jaw as a vital part of your overall vocal and postural system.
My specialized protocols combine:
Intraoral Therapy: Gentle, targeted release of the muscles inside and outside the mouth.
Structural Bodywork: Releasing connected tension throughout the head, neck, and torso.
Functional Retraining: Guidance on jaw tracking and exercises to prevent pain from returning.
Nervous System Regulation: Techniques to calm the fight-or-flight response that drives subconscious jaw clenching.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Assessment: We’ll discuss your symptoms and perform a brief movement assessment to pinpoint the root cause of your pain.
Targeted Care: A 45-minute combination of intraoral massage, deep tissue work on the head/neck, and jaw movement exercises.
Home Care Plan: You’ll leave with custom exercises to maintain your progress between visits.
A Quick Note on Comfort: Intraoral (inside the mouth) work can be intense. The throat and jaw are naturally sensitive, and it’s completely normal to experience watery eyes, gag reflexes, or mild discomfort during treatment. We will communicate constantly throughout the session to ensure pressure is kept at a therapeutic, safe level for you.
